• Webbed Variscite is Chert with Variscite veins running throughout it. Chert is a fine grained silica rich microcrystalline sedimentary rock. It varies in color from white to black, which is the color found in this particular variety.
• Variscite is a relatively rare stone and is sometimes confused with Chrysocolla and the greener colors of Turquoise.
• It is a 5 on the Moh’s hardness scale.
• Lore says that Variscite is a good meditation stone and helps with remembrance of past lives. Balances the central nervous system, eases depression, fear, worry, anxiety and impatience.
