  • Our Rhodonite is from the Sunnyside Mine, which is located in San Juan County, Colorado. This mine produces some of the best Rhodonite in the world. We also produce some fine Rhodonite from other localities, such as California.
  • The Sunnyside Mine is a former booming mine area, along with the town of Eureka in the late 1880’s. It was a gold-silver-zinc-copper mine that began operation shortly after the discovery of gold by Rueben McNutt and George Howard. During the prospecting, the miners discovered a massive Rhodonite vein.
  • Rhodonite is typically a deep pink to mauve color with black inclusions. It is a very hard and durable gemstone.
  • Rhodonite is 6.5 on the Moh’s hardness scale.
  • Rhodonite was once used in Russia as place settings and gifts during Czarist weddings.
  • Folklore says that Rhodonite is known as a stone of compassion, and an emotional balancer that clears away emotional wounds and nurtures love.
  • 100% natural. No treatments.
